This is an assignment from my Fall 2012 Art Direction II class to re-brand Barnes and Noble. I re-designed the logo and website, created a micro-site, and came up with an ambient idea surrounding the theme of “Create Your Own Me Time”.

Microsite- Choosing a Scene
The Me Time microsite will just be a site where the individuals who sign up for it or already have a Barnes and Noble account can just sit and relax. They pick their scene, their background music and can, for a moment, sit and have time for themself. They can read a book, the newspaper, sip on some coffee and imagine that they are on a relaxing getaway.

Microsite- Sharing Screen
This relaxing getaway can become a reality if they decide to share the microsite and where they "took a break" with their friends and family. Each time they login and share the new scene they took a break in on the microsite, their name will be entered in a drawing to win a week-long trip to Fiji. Names can also be entered with Barnes and Noble purchases. This will drive people to the microsite to participate and also drive people to the Barnes and Noble site to purchase merchandise.
Ambient- "Break Stations"
These “break stations” will take place in a handful of major cities in locations where people travel to and from work. Individuals will be able to use the huge NOOK screens in the background to choose the destination of where they would like to take a break and have their “me time”. They can choose a book, choose a chair, and choose a setting to sit and relax in. There will be nooks mounted and displayed on top of the book cases that people can look at. There will also be small fliers handed out to drive people to the Barnes and Noble homepage and Me Time microsite.
